The board of directors reviewed our maintenance costs at the August meeting and determined another rate adjustment was required. Both of the Archers experienced higher than expected maintenance charges during the annual inspections this year and the Comanche has had several pricey invoices as well. There is no change to the Skylane hourly rates. The rates listed below are effective September 1, 2010. Our last rate adjustment was on March 1, 2010. Aircraft rates are adjusted by the board to reflect the operating cost of the aircraft.

Phoenix Flyers is a non-profit, member-owned Flying Club based in Phoenix Arizona. Our Flying Club was founded in 1958 with the goal of providing excellent aircraft at reasonable rates. We maintain an active membership of around 50 - 55 members and have four aircraft; two Piper Archers, a Piper Comanche and a Cessna Skylane. All aircraft are owned by Phoenix Flyers Inc., enabling us to keep our flying cost low. Our club members fly some of the nicest and best equipped aircraft in Phoenix.

Our club aircraft are based at Phoenix Deer Valley (KDVT) and Chandler Municipal (KCHD) airports. We rotate the Comanche and Skylane between Deer Valley and Chandler every three months. We also have 2 Archers, one located at Deer Valley and the other located at Chandler.
