Joining Phoenix Flyers

Basic Information

The cost to join Phoenix Flyers is $4500, which includes a $250 membership fee and one share in Phoenix Flyers, Inc. We only accept a limited number of members and when our membership is full, applicants will be placed on our waiting list. When a member leaves the club, the board of directors will purchase the member's share and offer it to the next person on the waiting list. Our monthly dues are $125 per month, which covers our fixed costs of hangar rent, insurance, and 24 hour reservation service. All members are required to have an initial checkout and an annual check ride with a board approved flight instructor. Student pilots are welcome, but are restricted to fixed gear aircraft.

Application Process

In order to join Phoenix Flyers, you will need to request or download an application. Once you fill out the application and return it to Phoenix Flyers, we will place your name on our waiting list. It does not cost anything to join our waiting list. When your name comes to the top of the waiting list and a membership becomes available we will notify you. If you elect to purchase the membership, we will need a check for $4500 made payable to Phoenix Flyers, Inc. After we receive your payment, we will run a credit check prior to approving your membership. If you decide not to purchase a membership, we will remove your name from our waiting list and move to the next person on the list. If we are unable to contact you within a couple of weeks, we will discard your application. It is your responsibility to keep Phoenix Flyers informed of any address of telephone number changes.
